Design of the Fibonacci floor lamp is in harmony with nature – purity and essentiality of form and structure are its main characteristics. Single most important idea this design is communicating is omnipresence of Fibonacci sequence in nature and its representation in furniture items. Harmony and order from nature are transferred into visual identity of this lamp. Resembling nature and in accordance to mathematical sequence, form is gradually diverging in precise mathematical sequence modules of 0,1,1,2,3,5,8, i.e. 12 cm, 18 cm, 30 cm, 48 cm thus forming “Foliage” and “Root” systems. “Foliage” is ended with power saving fluorescent lightning equipped with dimming control and this way metaphorically resemble natural cycle of day and night, while “Root” system provides stability and strong base same way like in nature. Production and construction follow up the pattern of environmentally consciousness approach using high quality rich wood and engaging century long craft skills of the local people.
