Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, Hong Kong, China

Disney’s Hollywood Hotel is one of two hotels at Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. It opened in 2005 along with the resort. Themed after 1930’s era in Hollywood, it is an elegant design that is reminiscent of Hollywood’s “Golden Age”. The hotel which overlooks the Hong Kong Disneyland Park was designed in Art Deco architectural style. The structure of the hotel is a massive 8 story building with shallow floral designs and Disney motifs on the façade. The layout of Resort’s three lamellas enables all 600 rooms of the hotel different views of the resort grounds.

Hilton Americas Convention Center, Houston, Texas, USA

In this project Arquitectonica design team successfully fulfilled specific requests related to a new hotel and congress center facilities located in Houston. Also, this team set new standards in architectural adaptation as well as in design of hotels and convention centers. At over 130.000sqm, the hotel is 24 stories tall with 1.200 guest rooms, three restaurants, a swimming pool, spa and a health club. Garage with 1.600 parking places is connected to the convention center with two level sky walk. The main attraction of the structure is the hotel’s grand ballroom with 4.300sqm of open space uninterrupted with columns.

Watson Island Residential Building, Miami, Florida, USA

In 2001, near the Miami Beach Marina, the prestigious architectural firm Arquitectonica designed a two tower building complex each made up of 25 stories. The unique shape of the buildings is a metaphor of the movement of waves of the Atlantic Ocean. The buildings are located near the ocean overlooking Biscayne Bay and Downtown Miami. From this location, views of the beach and Miami’s skyline are spectacular. All common areas are decorated by Italian designers. This complex has a state-of-the-art fitness center with spa, massage room, sauna and swimming pool. On one side of the complex there is a five level covered garage with a 24-hour valet parking lot and along West Avenue there are boutique shops.

Business and Cultural Center, Guangzhou, China

This commercial complex with over 450.000 sqm was designed by Arquitectonica and was developed as a joint venture between Swire Properties Ltd. and the Guangzhou Daily News. This multifunctional center comprises 160.000 sqm of office space allocated in two business towers rising 33 and 55 stories intended for Guangzhou Daily News. This project features amenities such as five star hotel occupying 65.000 sqm, cultural center, a 60.000 sqm library, performing arts center as well as 100.000 sqm of retail space. Theatre has a 1.000 seat capacity and auditorium is organized in three levels with two balconies. Project proposes three level underground parking garage and two underground metro stations.

Planet Hollywood Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas, USA

Planet Hollywood mega complex is a condominium resort, casino and hotel realized by building/adaptation the existing casino building. The Planet Hollywood complex is located in the middle of the famous ”Las Vegas Strip”, between the Bellagio and the City Center. The entire complex is a massive symmetrical building incorporating different spaces for the flow of a large number of visitors. The versatile complex has a hotel with 2.400 hotel rooms and condominiums, a 6.500sqm casino, a 1.800 seat theater, a 4.650sqm fitness/spa complex and 27.870sqm of restaurants, retail, and entertainment spaces.
