Dairy market building is designed as a central retail building for sales of dairy products in the city of Uzice. Complex functional layout determined hall’s exterior design. Building expresses sophisticated functional layout and applied technology inside. Accordingly, exterior modeling is clean and smooth with the façade made of translucent, milky glass prisms. Building entrances are clearly emphasized by two glass overhangs positioned above them.

investment value: € 1.770.000
Design executed for “DDOR Novi Sad” a.d.o., www.ddor.co.rs

Insurance company DDOR Novi Sad has reconstructed or built most of its office buildings in previous ten years. Due to its creative business strategy and continuous development, DDOR Novi Sad is a leader in Serbia’s insurance sector and pays special attention to its new office buildings.
Relocation of company’s previous offices was planned and a new office building was designed, located in the town’s main street. It was designed in the modular grid and “Golden section” ratio, generated by careful analysis of the façade of existing, neighboring building – Hotel “Orao”, which is one of the first hotels, built at the beginning of the 20th century in Vojvodina. This building today represents a monument of exceptional architectural value and is protected by law. With this design, architectural geometry and ratios of hotel’s façade are applied on a company’s new office building located on the next lot. Traditional architectural values are respected and used in contemporary architectural expression.
New office building represents contemporary interpretation of existing, neighboring building. Standing together, both buildings mutually support classical architectural values and architectural values of 21st century thus accomplishing the goal of this design: DDOR Company to receive representative office building and citizens to receive valuable building in the main street of Ruma town.

location: Danube River, Novi Sad, Serbia
co-autors: Bratislav Stipanic, Djordje Ladjinovic, Zoran Floric, Djordje Pavkov, Nemanja Radusinovic
design executed for Euro Gardi Group, Novi Sad, Serbia

Novi Sad is favorably located on the banks of the Danube River, featuring flat left coastline sitting contemporary and well developed part of the city and right coastline characterized by steeper rise and smaller hill slopes continuously rising up to the Fruska Gora Mountain sitting fortress and old city of Petrovaradin. On one side it might be observed that Danube River is physically dividing built urban matrix of the city of Novi Sad on contemporary and old part, while on the other side it may be observed that Danube is metaphorically connecting modern architecture and urban planning with traditional, historic settlement on the right side and merging them into unique environment composed of historical, architectural and functional varieties.
City centre on the left side is symbolically bridged with the right side and further extended through a tunnel passing underneath Petrovaradin fortress. Proposed contemporary solution for the bridge is characterized by diagonal high-tension cables and single originally-shaped pylon slightly inclined towards left coastline that are visually placing spanning beam up to a support pillar rising from the river and further on extending spanning beam without supporting tension cables placing it on the right coastline and into the tunnel. Visual form of the bridge can symbolically be perceived as dynamism of ships mast and sails in the wind, windsurfer in movement or a fluttering feather in the wind.
